disassemble cigarette lighter
Good morning. I need to disassemble the cigarette lighter and I've been looking in the finder and can't find anything.
Someone could explain to me how to disassemble it. I don't want to break anything

To remove just the cover of the assembly, see post #279 in this thread.
If you need to take the entire assembly out, there is a procedure starting at page 3369 of the Service Manual (procedure designated as 76.25.01) that involves the removal of the center console. This may be more than you need to do.
I hope this helps getting you started.
More information would be helpful to provide a useful answer. Why are you taking the cigar lighter apart? Do you need to remove the entire cigar lighter assembly, or something else?

The outer housing threads off from the back. That's all.
Thank you. In the end I was able to disassemble it, now install the new one and reassemble everything.

Note that the cigar lighter circuit is switched, which means that there is no electric power to that socket when the engine is off and Convenience Mode has timed out and shut off that circuit. If your RPi needs to be powered when the car is locked (like an alarm system autodialer), then the cigar lighter socket might not work. I presume that an attempted break-in that triggers the alarm would activate Convenience Mode and provide power to the cigar lighter circuit, but I'm not sure.
What's an RPi? Any of these?
