Default Door Panel Wiring Harness Replacement

I am replacing the passengers side door panel (door card) wiring harness on my 2008 XKR convertible. I am having trouble disconnecting one of the connectors on the harness. The connector goes to the door latch handle (to operate the power door lock I suspect) . Attached are photos of the plug I am struggling with. I fear I may break the connector if I do it wrong or force it. Can anybody on the forum give me some guidance on disconnecting it? Is there a locking tab or something like that that needs to be depressed to release the connector?
Thanks for the help.
BD

Does the white tab push back to release the plug?

There is indeed one on the other side but the only way to get to it was to disconnect/remove the door handle from the door panel. The door handle is attached to the door panel by 5 small catch hooks on the panel. I was able to disconnect the plug by slipping small jewelers screw drivers under the white tabs as shown in the first photo below. Once I achieved all this I realized it was unnecessary. I could have just removed the door handle with the cable harness still attached. The reason for this whole exercise is my door panel on my car had a hole punched into when the door was closed with the seat belt buckle laying in the door jamb. I am replacing it with a salvage yard panel bought off of EBay.
Thanks for your help and suggestion.

Pry this, push that, pinch here, twist that… just another connector from those sadistic connector designers. How many different connector types can one car have?

Or, thank goodness the connectors are actually locked in place so that they don’t wiggle loose at the most inopportune time… perspectives.

Agreed, but do we need 37,000 ways to hold a connection together?

Yep. Find the engineer with the fattest finger and thumb in the building and then he, and only he, is allowed to design tool-less quick release connectors.
