Default Door sill removal

has anyone here removed and replaced the drivers side (left) door sill?
I need to replace mine, but cannot find any screws or fasteners on the sill.

I suspect it's a press-on friction fit that can be easily removed using a plastic trim tool to pry it up starting at a corner.

That's how I removed the sill plates on my XJ and replaced them with illuminated plates. It was easy because the XJ was pre-wired for the illuminated plates.

They just snap in. I pulled out the drivers side to run some wiring. Worked my fingers under the carpet side and pulled up.

Ugh, my bad. Thinking of the trim that sits beside it, along the carpet edge.

Thanks. I was not aware the the metal piece that has the Jaguar logo, is considered a decal. My drivers side has lifted slightly. I assume that it will be perished when removing it.

If you're only referring to the decal, mine started to lift and I helped it along with a putty knife, being careful not to pull up, bending it in the process. Then I re-glued or used silicone, don't recall I check it every time I wash the car. No problems.

and a hair blowdryer. Use it carefully and don’t pull hard, you will stretch it.

Thanks Guy. I think possibly using a fishing line, or dental floss, spread across the bottom, moving slowly until the decal releas3s.
