Default Door trim removal

Hi All

I need to replace driver door weatherstip on my 2012 XK. I think this means removing the driver door trim. Can anyone point me to a write up describing how to do that?

Thanks,
Sergey

Wouldn't that be replaced under warranty by the dealership?

It was damaged by a shop working on my windows (tint). They will pay for it, but I'd like to install it myself. Thus, I am looking for instructions on how to remove the door panel

How did they damage it so bad that it needs replacing? Any pictures? I had my windows tinted and everything looks ok. Just curious what happened and how it looks.

Yes, that really sucks. I hate taking my car anywhere to have someone work on it. People just don't give a **** today about other peoples property. When I had to have my infotainment module removed and sent to New Jersey for software updating I was very concerned about servicing damage.

Complete instructions should be in the shop manual available from jagdocs.com. They are good to talk to. Send them an email and they may send you the complete sections you need.

Below are some pictures from the shop manual about the weathershield etc. I hope it is helpful. You may want to go to the dealer and have them do it for you or with you and bill the window tint installer. If you're going to do this yourself you should download the shop manual--it's not expensive. You will need to remove your interior door panel enough to get access. Could be a lot of work.
