My '97 XK8 will stall pretty much every time I raise or lower the roof on it. If, however, I shut it off, pull the key out of the ignition, and wait about a minute it will start and run. Every time it stalls, it shows an engine fault, and a gear box fault. Upon retrieving these codes they show up as P1229 P1242, which are throttle body codes and the gear box code is a CAN code that disappears. I replaced the throttle body assembly last year, so it should be ok as it only has maybe 2000kms on it. I am hoping to go throught ther entire electrical system with dielectric grease and improve conductivity of every multiplug I can find. Has anybody else had this problem. Not sure if it helps or not but my VIN last 6 digits are 009447.
