Default Experience with Coolstream CarPro and Duo with 07 XK?

I'm currently using a Streambot mini bluetooth receiver that plugs into my aux input. It's fairly inexpensive but I don't really like it because:
  1. I have to turn it on every time I turn the car on
  2. It never turns off when I stop the car
  3. It tries to make itself be primary during phone calls.
I found the CoolStream CarPro on amazon. It's about $70 and plugs into the iPod 30pin adapter. It comes online when you start the car and also powers down when the car is off. It's also supposed to let you use all the steering wheel controls with your phone.

I saw a couple of posts where folks have used it, but I don't think any of them were with an '07. Has anyone had any experience with it? Here's the link to it btw: https://amzn.to/3vff0Ax. The duo is much the same except it plugs into the aux input and doesn't have the track up/down integration. I wouldn't be too keen on that one since I do have the iPod kit in the car.

Most here use the Bovee 1000 for iPod to Bluetooth.

Default Cool stream Duo

I have a Coolstream Duo I never could get to work, so I bought a Bovee 1000, which is great. The CHOOCL is a later Bluetooth version and works as well as the Bovee 1000.

I got the cool stream pro over the weekend and it worked perfectly for me right out of the gate. I tested it with apple music (streaming) and even youtube. Steering wheel controls and volume work just fine. I'll keep messing with it to see how it holds up

I have the Coolstream carpro but not the Duo, the $69. one. Been using it for 5+ years. No issues with iPhone or Android.

Have you tried connecting an Android device?
The company told me in January "CoolStream has NOT tested the CarPro with the 2007 Jaguar XK."
