Default Fan - on but no spinny

Blower motor stopped working last year on my heater 2007 XKR. Replaced with new as the old one had taken on water over the years and it still is no spinny. Dash indicates fan is running. Don't know the where abouts of my manual but the 2009 XK manual indicates fuse 34 between back seats is for blower. This is a 40 amp fuse? I seen the motor on that fan and it's no 40 amp unit so what gives. Is the 2007 manual a little different? Any idea's why my fan is being Jaguar...ish.

40 amp is correct. Perhaps because it goes from the blower motor into the control module?

Could be the resister

If the old motor seized, very good chance the blower control module ("resistor") got fried - or at least the fuse within the module. When the motor seizes, the module tries to dump a lot of power as heat, and the thermal fuse in the module opens. It's relatively easy to remove the module, no real need to remove the glove box if you're nimble. It's held on by (2) screws and one plug. I've rebuilt any number of them, but they seem to be generic along a lot of brands (compare pinout). Typical in power handling devices like this, the module blows up to protect the fuse (olde electronic tech joke...).
It's been my experience that the display on the dash / center console shows no problem.

My fan motor was not seized but it was not loosey goosey either. I'm leaning towards the reisister being the issue. Thanks Sean for the link I had forgot all about the post that I even commented on.
It's not as much fun getting old as everybody thinks. Somewhere along the line I must have done a data dump as I can't remember **** anymore.
Hope it's not the light cluster harness as I just replaced that headlight and have had my fill of that part of the car. Will pull module next day off and see.
Big thank you for those who responded to to my title "An is on" it's tough getting it right doing 80 down the interstate...

Agree, when blower doesn't turn freely it can fry resistor, had to replace both.
But why is all this happening, sounds like clogged duckbill, blower motor doesn't get full of water if WAD (Working As Designed).

If it's the duckbill starting to close:

Yep it was the duckbill. Sliced it once and it replugged after a couple years. Then I drilled it last year and it's been dry ever since.
