Took a test drive in an xk8 and in an xkr last week. No doubt, I want the xkr now. Hope it won't take to long for the right one to pop up on the market. Just fell in love with the torque and the mid range. Ride was a bit rough, but I'm used to a soft merc. suspension. Other than the supercharger, is there any difference in the engine between the two, and as far as the tensioner issue goes, is it the same for the xkr?

 

Oh...and I'm a young pup...lol...can't afford a new one...lol....I have been looking for 2001-2003 model years only.....

 

This is the forum for the newer model XK / XKR... you'll definitely have better luck if you post your question in the forum for the earlier model years. Best of luck in your search though =)
