Default Floor Mats

Anyone installed the Manicci or LuxAutomat floor mats? I have to admit I like the look.

Hard to beat Weathertech , unless you're buying them strictly for show.

Custom leather floor mats starting at $129????? I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya. They are pleather from China sold under various names. If they made a Navy blue, I might be tempted. I had a custom set made at World Upholstery that were not what I ordered. They offered me $40 to keep them, I countered for them to pay for return shipping and make them as ordered. That was 3 weeks ago.

I agree... they both claim to be real leather, and the Manicci seems to have better durability and I guess you can get a 5 year warranty, and costs a lot more than $129. I was mainly wondering if any installed a set and what they think?

Im interested in them as well but kind of put off that they straight up say Leather when its not. But for $229 for a standard set I might be tempted if I can return them. Lots of mixed bag of reviews on youtube. Everything from Love to hate and everything in between. Other sticking point is can you return them if they turn out to be super cheap quality.

Sorry I cant help more but would also love for someone else to be the scout and report back.

What got me interested is the youtube videos I watched were mostly all positive, the biggest complaint, which I agreed with those that had the issues was it didn't lay flat in some areas for some people. Others said after it's unpacked for awhile it settles in. I've seen some people actually tuck the edges under the plastic trim and that did give it a more professional 'manufacture' install look, but I'm thinking on a Jag things are pretty tight and I'm not going to force something under the trim. The Manicci does have extra clips and velcro. I'll have to find where I saw that they are actually made of leather, but the Manicci is supposedly a better grade. Now if you want to spend more to feel like you got a better product, there is always Beverly Hills Motoring at $750 a set

BHM is a US company and they state made in the US not Asia, and Manicci is out of South Carolina but theirs looks like the same as Lux and Diamond Mats (both have decent reviews from what I saw). Honestly there's nothing wrong with the mats in my car, I just liked the look of these... if they actually fit like the company says they do.

We ordered a set of 'diamond mats' for a Mini Clubman. A lot of these companies are getting them from same supplier in China and just rebranding them with a fancy website. If you wanted to give them a go I'd get them from Aliexpress or similar where they are much cheaper. I personally would not put them in a Jaguar - they look the part in the photos but the quality and fit is not OEM, they don't stay beautifully tucked in like the photos when you actually use the car.

Thanks, that's the exact type of feedback I was looking for.

Before COVID, I occasionally bought cheap stuff on AliExpress. No more.

Whenever possible, I buy American! (That includes our allies).

Unless it's an essential item and there are no other alternatives, I won't support our enemies.

This is what I suspected as the stitching pattern is identical from website to website. All made in China and sold through various resellers with various names.

"The Manicci does have extra clips and velcro. I'll have to find where I saw that they are actually made of leather, but the Manicci is supposedly a better grade. Now if you want to spend more to feel like you got a better product, there is always Beverly Hills Motoring at $750 a set

From the Mancini web site "
Until we came along in 2014, car mats on the market were ill-equipped to deal with the high demand of customers looking for custom leather floor mats and specialized materials that were not only durable and well-fitting but were also able to provide a bit of personality". They infer its leather without saying its leather. When I clicked the 'contact us' button the Mancini website it shows an office in British Columbia Canada. Anything that takes 14-20 days to ship is coming out of China. So they are a reseller.

$250 isnt going to break the bank either way.

I got a set of diamond floor mats off aliexpress a year ago. I really don't like the look of all season floor mats but these are nice because I don't mind taking them out and washing them with the car when I clean it, and they cover up and protect all of the carpet where most floor mats don't.

It's late here but If I remember I'll try to post pics tomorrow. For what it's worth I think I only paid $50-60 for them. Only annoying thing is its such a tight fit around between the seat and the carpet that the mats in the back have a hard time staying put while you move the seat. Fitment is so-so, they are kind of rigid. I also have a set from I think diamondmats.com or something for my tesla. They fit the backseat of that car amazingly, front not so much. That said I paid 3x as much and they're nearly identical and possibly from the same factory lol.

I buy a few items off alibaba for my business that I use a lot of- tried finding non Chinese suppliers but they just didn't exist. However I have found you get really the exact same product from so many different vendors on that site it's almost laughable. The price however is all over the place!

Oh and final edit I swear. They're definitely not leather. Although with that said so many cars don't use leather these days for the "leather" interiors. I actually learned how to do automotive trim and upholstery at one time and honestly I would rather use a quality vinyl over leather. As evidenced by my dash (and countless others!!) Leather has a tendency to shrink over time.

Gulf war vet here and I know what you mean. I've seen LOTS of things that came from Asian countries that 'say' leather but it's actually PE.
As far as these go, in the videos they really do have a luxury look to them, but if the fit and finish isn't good then it actually makes something look bad, and that's not what I want.

The BHM ones are VERY expensive floor mats, not even sure if they go over the dead pedal. I'd go with them, but whew...

The one thing I would suggest looking into on Aliexpress if its your thing is the Lego alternative brands. A lot of fun to be had and a dangerous game to play

I just found this company... https://www.f1mats.com/product/black...ar-floor-mats/
The 'stripe' looks nice too. What I like is you can get the Jaguar logo on the mats too, haven't seen that with other companies

What's wrong with just using an OEM floor mat?

I don't understand the relevance of your comment to the subject of this thread. What do Legos have to do with floormats? If Lego is a typo and you meant Logo, I still don't understand your point. What am I missing?

I meant the building blocks and they have nothing to do with floor mats. It was meant as a light hearted comment when Aliexpress was mentioned, not serious

To me, it looks like one of those old Mao quilted coats on the floor.
But if it works for you, great.
