Please elaborate. I don't have any pop ups, only sponsor ads on the right side, which I can eliminate, in effect, by enlarging my smartphone's display.

How do you access this Forum - (1) Device: desktop, Smartphone, tablet and model; (2) Operating System: Windows, Apple, Android and version. Have you opted out of Google marketing? Do you use a pop-up blocker app?

I use a desktop...Windows system. The pop up is the Jaguar forum.com window that immediately requests me to ask a question.

I've never seen that on my Win10 on Firefox. Of course, I also use AdBlock Plus, so that may do it.
ALSO, there is a setting in every browser that lets you either turn off pop-ups, or allow them.

Have the forum automatically log you in each visit and the ask a question new user prompt goes away. Also big thumbs up for ad block plus running on chrome. I usually don't mind the ads but without it they because obtrusive. 16 blocked just replying to this thread and the Haynes manual ad made it through (like I'd ever by a Haynes manual, lol).

Weird, that's the only one I have also.

I don't, and never will (again), use Chrome, they let the cache go crazy and take up gigabytes of hard drive space.

I get the super-annoying "ask a question" window as well.
I think I'll log out and ask a question the next time I log in. See what happens.

Ah! So you guys Log Out. I don't, I'm logged in all the time. I probably don't even remember my password.
The F150 forum for Ford Truck guys has the same engine as this forum, and I DO get the ASK A QUESTION slide-up when I go there. I don't have an account at that forum (yet?).

I'd venture the ask a question pop up might be linked to post frequency as well. Trying to get the lurkers involved.

If I should log off I get the pop-up. As a result I stay logged on permanently.

Ralphwg is right. Only appears if you are not logged in. Why log out?
