Default Fresh Water Drip in Cabin

I have a 2007 XKR convertible. The A/C system was not cooling and the fault was traced to a leaking A/C condenser. I have just had a replacement A/C condenser fitted and the system now cools very well. Today clear, tasteless water started to drip from what appears to be a blower/fan under the dash board in the passenger side footwell. The water seems to be condensation. The drip stopped after a while when I parked up. Has anyone seen this problem before? It seems to me that it could be condensation that has formed on the cold A/C system surfaces which is pooling, perhaps in some sort of collector, then not draining to the outside and overflowing into the cabin. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Many thanks.

Search "duck bill". I would hope that when they replaced your condenser they would have trimmed the bill.

Wasn't there a post sometime back about cutting/drilling a hole in the AC interior box at just the right spot to allow an air hose gun access to the drain port?
Or did I just dream that?

Think you were dreaming.
Best is to just cut it off, takes some patience, but it can be done.
No more 'wet feet' complaints from the wife, even on our 8 hour drive home on the hot and humid 'after the eclipse' trip.

Not a dream. I also remember that post. Whomever it was that did it cut a small square out of the heater box slightly right-of-center so he could access the duckbill from the inside. He then epoxied the cut off piece back in and sealed it with metal tape.

Try to clean out the drain with a wire...worked for me on my 2007 XK...took 5 minutes...just follow the centerline of the trans from above and if you make the wire long enough you don't even need to take off the engine cover
