As I mentioned in the past I didn't drill any holes in the face of the center bar. I did drill 2 holes under it and mounted a aluminum angle . To that I mounted the stock OEM black plastic plate mount but upside down so the top was flush with the top of the center bar. Used double sided foam tape on the top and screwed the plate to the frame. So not that it makes a difference to me but the next owner will have a clean center bar if he doesn't need a front plate. Oh just remember if you are caught in NYS with the trick hidden front plate mount they will impound your car until they verify if you have not run any tolls.

I went the tow hook route. The one you linked looks better than the one I have, but its worked well for 4 years, no complaints. Just remember where you stored the tow hook cover, if you decide to remove it later.

Popular with the ricer crowd but looks out of place IMHO.

I just realized I was posting earlier in this thread and never did do anything about it. What is a "ricer crowd?"

What kind of double sided tape comes clean off without leaving goo on the paint? So far, zip lining idea and some scissors seems like an idea and I'll decide if tow hooking on later. No cops have looked my way twice yet. Knock on wood.

Ricer crowd is the kids that hop up imports mostly asian cars . These are the small sedans where they are lowered and camber out the wheels and add the fart can exhausts. Some even leave the hood (bonnet) off to show off the chrome or cold air intakes.
As far as 2 sided foam tape it comes off with things like Goo Gone and when removed and waxed you'll never know it was there.

Decided on the zip tie route just long enough to get the sticker. Had done my wife's car earlier and told the guy at the inspection sticker/garage my plan. He said as long it stays on long enough for the photo, works for him. Sees nothing/hears nothing.
Zip zip, snip snip...done and done.

Thanks all.

As I mentioned before the LEO's (cops) usually look for a legal violation to pull you over. Also the priorities in many small town is revenue so a few hundred dollars for a missing front plate is good money. Also in the world of "get the cops" they plug in your plate number before they get out of the car to check your info. Also any violation gives them the right to search the car. Have a great ride.
