Civil War?

We had Geronimo, Billy the Kid, Pat Garret, Pancho Villa, The Apache Kid, and of course, the Buffalo Soldiers of Fort Seldon, NM.

Only in New Mexico. Nothing else like it.

It now has 6000 miles of usage and no issues with the mount. If you don't need a front plate you just take the holder and angle off and there are no visible holes for the next owner.
Picture??

May be OK for your state but that is illegal in NY. Because these are being used to avoid road tolls there has been more of a press to ticket no front plates and if a "hide a plate" device is found the fines go up. I would prefer no front plate but I gotta do what the state says I gotta do. These are no longer "fix-it" tickets. Next they are cracking down on window tints.

With using this bracket, why couldn't one just leave the plate exposed, in NY?
I was "whacked" with a ticket the first day out for a roadie here in Maryland. My Jag came from a "no front tag" state (FL) and I was trying to figure out what I was going to do for a front bracket. This "show 'n go" bracket came up after a few days of researching. I liked it as it required only two 5/16" holes in the belly pan.
All is well since......Happy motoring

In Vancouver, Canada, a modified front plate will earn you a ticket. I have a cut front plate on 3 of my cars (aprx 3/4" in both top and bottom). Over the past 8 years I have received 4 warnings but no ticket yet …. keeping fingers crossed.

Over here, they no longer require you to show a road-tax disc, because everything can be checked using automatic plate detection - reads plate, checks database, and throws an alert if you have no road tax, no MOT (test certificate) or no insurance. It hasn't got rid of all the dodgy un-taxed, un-roadworthy or uninsured vehicles, but it's certainly cut down on them.

Oh, and missing plates = nailed. Fine and points on your license.
