I had a code come up tonight on the way home P0193 fuel rail pressure sensor A circuit high. I couldn't find a definitive process here on how to change.
Can I just remove and replace or is there a procedure prior ie: remove fuel pump fuse, start car until dies. diconnect battery etc etc.
I dont think this has ever been replaced, nothing in the history.
The part thats there currently is a ford part see pictures.
be careful of that crappy grey plastic vacuum pipe. It crumbles easily, and the connector can break off as well. Ask me how I know....but the good news, is that if you break it off, it glues back together reliably. Also, the shitty grey plastic line can be replaced by rubber vacuum line by shoving the last 1/2" of the grey plastic into the vacuum line at each end.

I think a warm up and a trim fork either side slid in might help remove it... hopefully!
