Smile Good Battery replacement Source

Good morning,
FYI, Autozone has a couple of good batteries for our vehicles.
The 49-DL has 880 cca's for $105 (I have one in our XK8) and the H8-DLH has 950 cca's for $125.............both are the same physical size and unlike the Interstate MTPH8 have access to the fluid and are Made in the USA! Interstate are Made in CZ!.................Similar warranties too.
Bought a Battery Tender Plus for my XK because I can't check the fluid
of the CZ Interstate supplied by my Dealer.

Info appreciated, but when you say "access to fluids" do you mean they are not a sealed battery? (IE "maintenance free"?)

I can't speak for the convertibles (battery is technically in the trunk?), but you do not want a free breathing battery inside the cabin. Sealed battery's are used specifically so they vent dangerous gasses through a breathing tube to the outside.

Vince,
Not to worry they still are sealed and have a vent pipe but you can remove the two covers to check the water level.
Maintenance Free is only good for the life of the battery! LOW Maintenance is much much better and will last longer because you can add distilled water when required.............
Even the Interstate Battery Distributor Guy agreed with me!
