What is everyones opinion on heads up display to keep a better eye on engine temperatures and other things?

It has been brought up many times in the forum. Most agree that they look ridiculous sitting on the dash, and that the film on the windscreen doesn't do much either.
There are better options for most people.
Now, if there was a way to integrate it INTO the dash instead of a lump on TOP, that may be something.

I have mine set just like peterV8 and love it. No distraction or deviation needed in scanning instruments while driving. Mine is setup to only display coolant temp.

 

I am happy with this one
