Can anyone please tell me which wire to use to connect my ISIMPLE FM modulator? I have my car console apart. I have three wires going to the cigarette lighter and they are white/blue w.....a black wire and a smaller red/yellow wire.


PLEASE ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW FOR SURE




I do not have a way to get a VOLT meter right now

 

Black is ground and white/blue is ignition switched power. Those are the ones you want.

The other wire is for the cigarette lighter illumination...do not use that.

 

What year and flavor car? Not going to search your old posts to figure it out.

Might be simpler to download the free wiring diagram too.

My '07 diagram only shows two wires going to the front cigar lighter. White/Blue and Black.

THANKS!!! Yes I am in the correct forum.... I love this site and have only purchased Jaguars due to this site.....I have own nothing but Jags since about 8 years ago...I need to update my auto... I now have an 07 Jaguar XK named MASTRO... THANKS!!! I AM GOING WITH THE BLUE/WHITE as the positive and will try to wire the ground to the auto...THANKS I will be back later to update with results!!!! THANKS!!!!

everything is working smoothly...and no problems after installing.


My only complaint is that the sound quality was a bit less that what I expected, I had one of these installed in my X-TYPE and the sound quality was a lot better .
