Default Help - Do I need to remove front bumper to attach a R badge to the grill?

I bought a new style 2012 R badge for my XKR front grill but it's been lying around for a while and I have not had it fitted as yet. The back was easy - hair dryer, Dental Floss and replaced no problems but the front seems like the bumper needs to come off as can't access the back of the grill to attached the plinth.

Does anyone have a link on to how to remove the front bumper to get to the back to attached a pinth?

Has anyone managed to do this without removing the bumper?

Any input appreciated.

Thanks

If you remove the plastic cover over the radiator there is enough room on my xk 2007 to get to the bolts on the badge mike

Why post things on public forums that are not true? Went through the ordeal of removing the plastic rad cover and even my 4 year old wouldn't be able to get her hand behind the radiator unless cutting it to pieces! Mines a 2007 car as well and is a XKR not sure if yours has a smaller radiator!

The only way to fit the 2012 badge via the plinth kit is to remove the bumper and you would need to cut in to a section of the grill to fit the badge straight. Not worth the hassle to be honest with you but mines now done! Pain in the bloody **** though and took nearly 3 hours!

Default Stick it on and go..

I simply got the R with the adhesive tape on the back, the same one stuck to the back of my XKR.. stuck it on my grill and I haven't had any problems.
