Default Help needed - FM/AM antenna in a central console (MY2010+)

Hi,
Doing a little project "Tesla" screen. Took out OEM infotainment system and was clumsy enough not to take super pictures of an existing OEM setup. Actually have pictures of all connectors except one - FM/AM antenna. Either I missed it as it is the best hidden (last connector on a system - bottom right) or it was not there, as I'm now struggling to find a fakra cable with a FM/AM antenna in a central console.

I made a pretty deep digging and I don't see an antenna cable. Is anyone sure that it normally is there?

How to potentially provide it from the back of a car to a central console? Where and how to plug to an amplifier/antenna/other source to pass it to a central console?

I know that my question is relatively difficult. Let me ask another question. Where can I try to "steal" FM/AM signal? Does anyone know which part is an radio amplifier and which cable is an output one (where I can potentially "plug in" with a splitter)?

I assume you have the shark fin antenna on the boot? The antenna has a splitter already @ TM077. Going backwards, the signal splits there to go from the antenna to A: head unit (your issue) and B: the navigation box. Here is where TM077 is on an 08. I have to believe it's the same or close on your MY. This will be on the trunk side of the rear panel or behind the back seat. TM078 is the cabin side connector.

Otherwise, trace the antenna wire from the Nav box. You will come to the splitter. In the wiring diagrams our set up is the same except the location of the antenna

Helpful! Thank you. It looks like it's on a lift gate, correct?
I have a shark fin - but I thought it's for a satellite radio not FM/AM, correct me if I'm wrong.

Looked at a spare parts diagram for radio.

I know where is "5" (considered as an amplifier) - internal part of a lift gate, under a carpet - right side). But I have no clue which cable is an input and which one is an output. Plus I'm a bit scared of laying a cable from the very end of a car. I thought that maybe there is an option to start somewhere in a trunk (inside). As i thought there is a module or something like that on a right rear quarter (close to rear right light). But I see mostly optical cables in this area - which don't look like a FM/AM signal cables

Yeah, isn't the AM/FM antenna inside the rear spoiler? Gooified to the inside, and that amp module bolts up on the inside of the deck lid on the right side under the trim panel. I had to deal with that when I swapped to the larger SP spoiler.

Not yet. Ordered fakra cable splitter and will be trying to make it happen. But it will take some time for sure...

So you found the splitter and there is only one cable going to the Nav unit? No other cable?

I didn't. But I assume that putting a splitter somewhere close to an amplifier not to mess up with an OEM harness is the easiest and safest way to go.

Waiting for parts and will be trying to sort it out.

One additional comment. I assume that I have a FM/AM line in a car. And looking at how amplifier looks like - it has a fakra cable going out of it. So I will put an aftermarket fakra splitter (male --> 2x female or opposite) and put an OEM line to one end and aftermarket fakra cable to the free one and connect it to a Tesla screen. So hopefully it will not affect OEM setup.

sounds too easy - so will see if it works (but need these cables first ). Waiting for AliExpress to deliver.
