Still not seeing Cats for my 2014 XKR on the website, surely 2yrs on they'd be there?
Would consider but as the original owner deleted the back box mine may be a little too brutal already, would be nice to have a free/faster flowing system from the front though

I purchased these for my 4.2 a year ago. They completely failed and cloged up only after only 7500 miles. They started to separate inside as early as one week after installing them (have pictures) This is with running with nearly perfect AFR of 11.5 at WOT instead of 10.1 rich stock Afr. Darek or( FrickenJag) has not offered a refund or replacement and is stating that high flow cats only come with 90 day warranty from Magnaflow the manufacturer he uses. I can't recommend...

For now just gutted the high flows. Some smell issues , not as bad I have though it would be thought. Noise level went up as well. Probably will go back to high flow cats when I find a quality replacement. Not Happy about shelling out 1300 to have them fail in 7500 miles
Guess it should have been obvious that the Magnaflows were crap (if you'd known he was using Magnaflow), if they only offer a 90 day warranty, while the original cats had to last 8 years, by law.

Honestly I had no clue they were Magnaflow nor was I aware about quality issues with them. I just trusted FrickenJag as he told me he used top quality parts. The converter did look we'll put together , perfect fitment and stainless steel with great welds , I had to reason to suspect that they would crap out like that.
With the prices around $1400 for high flow cats , darek should of used higher quality units , dont think he was aware of the poor quality of the Magnaflows cores ,but that's not an excuse for him no to stand behind his product and resolve the issues, especially when I sent one back 2 weeks after install because it was separating inside. Hopefully he comes through and resolves the issue...

Food for thought... believe it or not I sourced my high flows from rock auto. But hear me out: at $400 for the pair I figured I can replace them often.... it has been 3 years and 45000 km...

Is that a direct fit or just for the cores? Brand , how many cells?
Direct fit, 300 cell. Had to put an extension on the downstream o2 sensor. Just 1 cm..
I clogged up (or melted??) the factory cats at Montreal during the pre f1 street party. That happened at 75000... so no matter how you slice it, I’m ahead.

Like I said... please don’t judge me harshly... but at this price point I can replace them very often. And I promise you EVERYONE loves the tone of my exhaust.
Thanks for adding the link Stuart. Prior to my purchase I did contact Davico directly and confirmed I was getting 300 cell cats. Even then, I had to use use extensions on the downstream O2 sensor as to not throw a cat code. (Emissions testing doesn’t like that;-)
Just a side note, on our cars using a defouler or 02 extender is a no no, it will mess with your fuel mixtures.. proper way is in the tune, if you have a Denso 4.2 or 5.0 car I can easily get that done for you

I'm puzzled. Why would a defouler/extender installed in the downstream O2 sensor bung have any effect on the fuel mixture? I thought that the downstream sensor monitors the cat and the upstream sensor monitors the way the engine runs. You're right about not using a defouler with the upstream sensor as it will cause problems with the fuel mixtures, but I don't understand why you say it's a no-no with the downstream sensor if all that it does is prevent a CEL. Does the downstream O2 sensor also change fuel trims?
