Currently, the leather in my XK is in "like new" condition, so there's no immediate concern regarding its softness, however, if I were to use a conditioner in the future, based on what I've been able to determine, it would most definitely be a water based product, such as the "Leather Master" line, Pinnacle or Lexol.

Thanks for the tip regarding the 303 and keeping it off the glass. I'll be mindful of this when applying it to the dash.
I have noticed quite a difference between the Jaguar and Porsche leather seats. I like the Jaguar leather much better and find the Jag leather is far superior to the Porsche. The Porsche leather seems much stiffer, and the Jag so soft. As for the Lexol, it does make the Jag seats slick and I slide right in. I like that feature of the finished Lexol product.
