Default How to remove the air intake assembly?

I need to replace my thermostat. I also purchased a new water pump and plastic coolant distribution / thermostat manifold.
strangely, the drawings in my manual do not look like my car. The manual seems to be short on a lot of information. The manual says it covers VIN B00379 to B32752. My VIN is B23117.

The car is new to me. I know nothing about this motor. I am trying to remove the air intake assembly. The assembly is not playing nicely. I don't want to put too much force on anything for fear of breaking parts. I have attached pictures of my air intake assembly. Any help is appreciated.

After more digging and removal of the transmission fluid reservoir, I found another clamp.

As you found, once you unbolt the PAS reservoir and push it over to the side, the intake ducting is easy to remove. When you come to refit the housing at the downstream end, take care to ensure that the plastic ducting lip is positioned evenly around the metal boss before you tighten the clamp. On our car the previous owner / garage had hooked the lip inside the metal boss at the bottom, where it is not easily visible, which resulted in an intake leak.
