Default I Giggled

I got my car back from the shop a couple of days ago. I've been treating it gingerly since then, but today I had to pass someone. I put the pedal to the floor and I was up to 90 in the blink of an eye. My reading glasses were on my head and they ended up falling off my head backwards. I literally started giggling like a little girl.

As much as I have griped about this car, it's an incredible piece of machinery. Most people will never experience the raw but refined power that these cars deliver.

So even though I might bitch about the issues with the car, it's still a joy to drive it. And it makes me giggle.

And Rev Sam, as a previous X100 owner as am I currently, you can giggle 'cause it doesn't jiggle like yours and everyone else's X100s did. It's an enjoyable ride at speed as opposed to the crappy, frightening ride in the X100.

I had a similar post when I first got mine (regular XK even). 70-90 MPH is my favorite zone. Glorious.

I giggle when I here the long series of burbles when I downshift into first while slowing to a stop at an intersection. Half the reason I wanted a V8 was for the noise!

I totally agree. After 18 months I still downshift slowly through the gears on my way to work as I pull up to traffic lights just to listen to the burbles,

I had a camera stuck to the back of my car recently so did a quick recording as I went through an underground garage

It sounds best through headphones and turned up loud!

Rarely do I listen to the radio, The exhaust note on my 07 when I purchased was intoxicating. Made even better when I had a catalytic converter issue and I was forced to modify them, see "catalytic converter delete why not". The resulting exhaust note is heaven. I must get a recording to share. Even after 5 years I still have a hard time wiping the grin off my face.
