Default Interior color scheme

Stumbled upon this beautiful xk for sale with one of the most amazing color combos I have seen (On another note for over 150k km the car looks absolutely amazing)

Was never a fan of wood inserts until I saw this

Mine has a slightly darker wood than that but the same colour combo interior and exterior.

It's a perfect interior combo

As the whole interior in Ivory can be a bit overwhelming , the charcoal does break it up quite nicely and ties in beautifully with the slate grey exterior

I have the exact interior on my liquid silver coupe. I thought it would be a bear to keep clean, but, it has been relatively easy.

Default I Agree ...

My Vapour Gray Metallic Jag Coupe has an Ivory and Slate Blue Luxury Leather Interior with Burl Walnut trim. I never owned a car with a 2-tone interior and frankly, thought I wouldn't like it. But, when I first saw it at the dealership, it was love at first sight. It's elegant and classy without looking tricked. I get as many compliments on the interior as I do on the exterior styling.

The only change I'd like to make is to swap my all leather heated steering wheel for a Leather & Burl Walnut combo heated steering wheel from a 2007 XK, but since that was a 1-year only option, I haven't been able to find one.

Steve,
In the USA, the limited edition 4.2L 2009 XKR Portfolio was available in a choice of interior leather colors, either solid Charcoal leather with Cranberry contrast stitching or two-tone Ivory and Slate leather with contrasting Ivory or Slate stitching. Trim was a choice of either Engine Spun Aluminum or Rich Oak wood veneer. Here's mine, Ivory and Slate, with Rich Oak:

There are 3 non-factory items in the above photo.
  1. The carpet mats are aftermarket, but include the Leaper logo and are similar in color to the originals. I put the OEM mats in storage to preserve them, since they're bordered in Ivory leather.
  2. The footrest is custom made to match the OEM brake and accelerator pedal covers.
  3. I added the Leaper logo to the leather on top of the gear selector knob.
Here's a better photo of that knob:

Sources for my interor mods:
Carpet mats with Leaper logo - no longer available.
R logo footrest: See my post #38 https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...r-88734/page2/
Microthin Leaper Logo: See my post #15 https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-cover-128693/

The exterior paint, exclusive to the 2009 XKR Portfolio models, is Shadow Grey metallic.

Absolutely stunning color combo

I never thought a two-tone leather interior would look so magnificent

My old xk100 had the pipe and slipper interior, glad i got away from it, afraid for me it's not for cars now, hope this doesn't offend but it's just my view.

Old Hugh is offended, but no matter - he's comforted by his his pipe and slippers and he's got a big smile on his way upstairs!

I had that combination (ivory/oyster/walnut) in my first XF. It was gorgeous and quite subtle, everything just worked well together. I had the piano black in my second which I thought I'd prefer because it is more modern, but it wasnt as classy.

One that I have seen and would have liked was the London Tan/ Charcoal. I think that looks sharp but not overdone.
