Interior Praise of the XK
The X100 has a temperature gauge but it is always in the center as it is basically an on/off switch. It will stay in the middle no matter how hot unless it is about to overheat when it goes straight to the red zone. You have a precious few seconds to see it happening and then pull over and stop the engine. That's still better than nothing, which is what we have.
I think Steve/WhiteXKR/theJagWrangler has that kit for the X100.
For the X150 you can go the HKS Camp2 route, and get gauges on your infotainment screen. A bit pricey, but it works.

I agree, the infotainment screen is a little slower to respond than I'd like but it doesn't bother me too much. Before I bought my car I had read some complaints about it so I expected it to be on the slower side. I think it's better than I expected. The worst part, as others have said, is turning off the AC. Too many steps! A simple button on the dash would be an improvement. At least it's easy to turn back on. But I am still happy with the infotainment system's look and design overall. And I agree, the design and quality of the interior is fantastic!
The biggest variable is the Camp2 itself. It is no longer made, and there is currently one seller on eBay who is asking $820 (sometimes one will pop up for less, but you need to make sure it contains everything you need, and has an OBD-II interface).
Then you also need a GVIF interface unit to connect between the Camp2 and the infotainment system, which is currently $190 from car-solutions.com.
If you search for 'GVIF' on this forum, you'll find a thread started by 'flyc2c', where he installed such a setup, and I followed his lead.
Right now, about $1000.
