Steam from engine bay
While driving in to work this morning, stopped at a light, I had steam coming from under the hood. It seems I'm losing water from somewhere. I peered down the driver side and saw some wet stuff, and under the engine on the ground I saw water dripping.
Monday I had a "engine overheating" light on the dash. Limped it home, saw the coolant was low. Topped it off with distilled water, and have been monitoring the level. It's down an inch from the max where I filled it to on monday. Just trying to get to the weekend.
So, now thursday, I'll take my truck to work tomorrow, just gotta get home safely.
Where should I start looking? Is there a common culprit? I have never looked hard at the engine, so not sure where stuff is yet.

Engine overheating warning means 'stop right now' and shut it off. You're lucky you didn't lose the whole engine. Don't drive the car again till this is fixed. A leak as large as you describe should be easy to find.

Limped it home meant i was 1/4 mile from home, and basically drifted the entire way. The light did go out a half second after it came on, which was the only reason I decided to chance it. After I topped the fluid, it never came on again. One of the reasons I really wish there was a temperature gauge, even if it was something you toggled through on the display.

Assuming the vehicle in question is a 2008 SC model, pressure test the cooling system after a cold soak to determine the source of the leak. It may be the coolant hose under the supercharger, or the bottom of the expansion tank.
As stated above, do not operate the vehicle under conditions that may cause the engine to overheat.
