Interior Rear End Rattle...Removal of Rear Seats?
Hello
Ever since i bought my XK, and now with everything sorted and it becoming my daily driver, ive had this rattle coming from the rear whenever i hit a hard bump or pothole or even simply driving on a rough road.
It sounds like some coin or plastic thats broken and rattling inside somewhere. I took the trunk plastic liner off once and couldnt find anything(the clips were all intact too), and I honestly do not know where it is coming from exactly. Is there a known place that I should look into?
I checked all over the trunk and in the spare wheel well and theres nothing
Also, i couldnt figure out how to remove the rear seats to look beneath them, i searched here but could only find instructions for the older XK8 model.
I would appreciate any feedback on this.

Absolutely no hint of the vehicle this may be other than it's an XK. I've searched your previous posts and discovered you have a 2010 5.0 but no indication of Coupe or Convertible ........
If you look at my posts you will see:
1. Location (City/Country) - this makes it clear which Market specification vehicle
2. Model and Year - Body and Engine details for accurate and relevant replies
None of this is intrusive and doesn't reveal personal data but it does help members see exactly the type of vehicle under discussion.
Please help others to help you. Add a Location and setup vehicle details in your forum signature.

well there's the heat shield above the muffler, which is thin metal that can crack near the tiny little studs (which easily strip!) that its fastened with. there are several holes with nothing but a rubber grommet in them to let water out through the trunk floor, so the sound carries easily once it begins rattling from damage or a loose nut.
inside, there's also the headliner pieces, which may be loose or have a broken snap fitting.
