Default Interior Veneer Trim - remove & refit

JLR last published the Interior Veneer Trim removal and refitting instructions (C2P18926/27/28/29/30/31) in 2010.

The PDF is too big to post on the forums as an attachment so I've added the pages here as individual graphics.

The instructions are specifically for the earlier 4.2 but the procedures apply equally to the later 5.0 models.

Don’t you just love that the instructions show that you should toss the old ones in the trash?

Is that because the removal damages the parts beyond reuse? Has anyone successfully removed and refitted the trim pieces?

I don't need to replace mine but I have an annoying buzz from vibration of the trim behind the steering wheel. Thanks for posting this. It's helpful to see how to remove it.

well you want to know where the lift points are and yes you can break them but with a little care they come off easily. People swap the out all the time or pull them to vinyl wrap, hydrodip etc...

That's probably the air sensor behind the small grill. It's a common source of a buzz in that area. Try cleaning it.

This is an old thread. Graham has since added the PDF to the DIY sticky section and you can download it here:

How hard are these trim pieces to get from Jaguar? I really like the turned metal ones.

Check your spam filter isn't blocking it. It is definitely available and working as an amazing 359 downloads confirm:

Anyone have a connection with any companies that sell Veneer Kits for the X150s? Would love to remove the "Old Man Walnut" Veneers and replace with Piano Black or Carbon Fiber.

pieces are easy to remove,,take them to any place that wraps cars and have them wrap them in any color youd like.

FYI, you can get a set of knurled aluminum fro Rimmerbros for not much. I switch out my wood ones with the aluminum set just to keep things fresh. 5 minute job. When I want to class it up, I switch back.

I checked them out (very nice site by the way) but $860 for a set of aluminum veneers is a bit much for me. I think I will just wrap them. Thanks!
