Default Ipod Connection

I have recently purchased a 2012 XKR and tried to simply attach my Apple I-pod to the USB port in the glovebox however it would not play. Is there some sort of special kit that makes this work?

You need the old cRapple cable, not the new one. I seem to remember something about "30 pin"???
Some nice cRapple people will be along shortly to either verify my recollection or to vilify me.

Me, I just stuck a USB flash drive in the USB slot and now I have my 9000 tracks on the TSD.

I use the Bovee and it has been perfect. Never had an issue with it.
