1999 xk8. Lowered 2 inch, after market exhaust.changed from silver to British racing green. I know their not the most reliable cars. But man their fun to drive.put a little into to it as I have money. Sadly I'm not the typical jag owner with tons of money to burn.

No need to have tons of money, to have fun with an XK8 or XK 150!
You only have to have a gas station nearby to satify the needs of your Jag.

Tons of money to burn people don't buy jags. They buy Aston's, Bentley's, Ferarri, Masserati, etc...

Is '99 the year the V8 had piston issues? There are a few years of this model you should avoid; which they are I am not sure, but they are earlier model years.

The one to get is the series before that with inline 6 and manual transmission or step it up to the 2007 XK.

The '99 XK8 has the 4.0 engine - main weaknesses are the timing chain tensioners and the water pump impeller, both of which are made of plastic which goes brittle & disintegrates over time. If they haven't already been done, get them done - not cheap, but cheaper than a new engine.
