I ordered two 5-quart jugs on January 19 for the $16.24 price (for use with other vehicles); however the shipment won't arrive until February 5 - February 19. The price is back up to $24.97 now.

Just a FYI, I ordered mine 10 minutes before posting this thread. I already have mine , came in 5 days ago.
Still a crazy good price at $25. Also get $1 per bottle digital credit by selecting slow shipping.

Ozzy you should look into distributing it unofficially- Clearly there is a massive gap between supply and demand- when you think about it, the demand to supply ratio is better than cocaine. Do a google search, all sorts of folks looking for pennzo in Au/Oz. + you can tell folks you are in the oil business.

$150 for seven quarts, and boatloads sold. If the drug-runners only knew.

Hmmm, you could be on to something there!
Last Saturday the biggest car parts chain in these parts - Supercheap Auto - had a "25% off everything" sale, with some items going at 40%, 50% even 60% off. I checked on-line and they had Penrite 5W-20 full synthetic in the correct Ford spec for our engines going at 40% off, so I skedaddled down to my local store quick smart.
One count 'em one 5 litre bottle left on the shelf, so I grabbed it.
I just happened to be going to my usual fresh fish retailer the same morning in a different part of town which also has a Supercheap Auto nearby, so I dropped into that store and guess what - one count 'em one 5 litre bottle left on the shelf! I grabbed that one as well.
Definitely a shortage of correct spec 5W-20 around here!

The pennzoil oil is super expensive in Canada.

Guys I have some further good news for you penny-pinchers who were waiting for the price to drop further from $16, And as if god wanted to rub it in the faces of the kiwis paying $100 a bottle for the same oil.

Its finally affordable- now about $4. There is a $22 gift card redeemable at Shell gasoline (the other purchase you dont splurge on).
And you cant be discouraged by the cost of the stamp either- none is required.

Don't worry too much about us. We have the Australian Penrite over here which meets the correct specification and it is often on special for US$40 for 5 litres.

Having said that, I only buy it to top the car up between services and my mechanic charges me around US$160 to change the oil on my '10 XKR.

C'mon ya lazy bugger it's a piece of cake to DIY an oil change and it will save you at least $100 US each time!

I have got a pretty extensive tool collection but it is probably 30 years since I last changed my oil!

As far as I am concerned it is just part of the cost of running a car if I want to continue a full main dealer or specialist service history.

I could buy the oil myself and drop it off with the car but I think that is taking the **** as my mechanic has to earn a living as well and will be relying on the markup on parts and consumables in his business model.
