Default Jaguar of Woburn Ma. closing

The dealership in Woburn Ma. is dropping the Jaguar Brand. Their service dept. was quite good. Does anybody have any impressions to share about Norwood Ma. VS. Exeter NH. service departments? I've been a Woburn customer since I bought my e-type more than12 years ago. I will miss them.

Sorry to hear that. Their service manager has also been an outstanding member of this forum. (I will leave it to him to identify himself only if he chooses to).

I am too... That was a great shop whenever I made it down to the Boston area. Do you think they will still offer service if we stop in?

Ahhh, the world is full of the short sighted... but to be fair, I suppose one can only handle so much of a loss leader.

I would lay money on the Jaguar part being merged into a local Land Rover dealer. According to Automotive News, the dealer/manufacturer publication, JLR are merging all dealers, in areas they can, to build a stronger brand. They buy out the little single point store and offer it to another larger single point store that will invest the money to modernize to JLR's new requirements. I guarantee you the Jaguar part of that dealer will not go away but resurface in the region at a new modernized LR dealer.

Its funny, Ive gotten this publication for years and they list dealerships for sale and in the last 3 years there are never any Jaguar dealers available and let me tell you I look. Its part of JLR's bigger plan and I personally like it. What's better than a Jag and RR in the garage, maybe 2 Jags and a RR, LOL .

Indeed. He provided me excellent service and prices for the AC drain fix. Why are they dropping the franchise? Perhaps their service department will remain? Are the Jag tech's moving to another dealership?

Very odd to drop the franchise as they brand his been building momentum every year... 3 new models being introduced with 3 years...

When I tried to make an appointment they said the service dept. is closing and one tech has already gone to Norwood. I think they are merging with a LR dealer.

Isn't Norwood Jake Kaplan? There's already a Jag dealer there. For parts and service, avoid Herb in Sudbury. No matter whether it was for my Range Rover or Jaguar; they'd send the wrong part 8 for 10 times and not know what they are talking about. I called them to schedule service 3 times and they never called me back.

Look at a car on their lot and they don't leave you alone... Had a bad experience and Lee as well; also Herb now. Oddly, I had great service from Herb in my Honda.

Woburn was my first pick for a local Jag dealer should I need to buy or repair... oh well.

I purchased 2 Jags and had them serviced at Jaguar Exeter. I can highly recommend them. I've always had good experiences with both the sales and service.

Default Another alternative

I'm currently using Veloce imports in Londonderry, NH. The owner very knowledgeable with Jaguars.
They have a website. Just Google Veloce imports and you will find it.

Luckily for me Samuels Jaguar is walking distance from my house. Major reason why I went with Jaguar to start with.

My '66 E-Type still has the remnants of a service sticker from 1968 in the door jamb, calling out stuff to be done at 18,xxx miles. That sticker reads: "Autolab Imports, Washington St. & Rte 128, Woburn, Mass".
Sigh....
