Default Jaguar wood trimmed steering wheel question.

As the title kinda says, my '07 has the wood trimmed wheel, and I have really come to like it.
My key question was; Did this remain an option throughout the production life of our chassis?

I believe I have found the answer, which was "yes". Not sure what it cost a new owner to add on but the wheel sells for about $1300...

P.S.
Perhaps a more thought provoking question would be: How many different styles of steering wheels where used during our cars production run?

So with the key question answered, I have a follow-up for everyone: Should I swap steering wheels between my 07 and 2010, to keep the wood trim?
I know the wheels will swap with out issue (all functions are on both wheels), but I don't know about the lower spoke.

The 07 is painted plastic, where the 2010 has the black R logo.
If those are removable trim and interchangeable then I am certainly tempted...

Yes, the bottom spoke pops off and can be swapped. It is easier to do with the airbag off though.

Thanks, I've been pondering the same question, as I've looked at ads for some R's (to step up from my base model), but have been turned off by the lack of a wood trimmed steering wheel. Swapping wheels was a thought, but wanted to keep the 'R' logo in the R.

I am not 100% sure but I don't think the wood steering wheel was an option after 2007. Can somebody confirm?

I had to assume so, as looking at an online Jaguar dealer parts list shows the Wood/Leather available to order. I just cant say for certain that it was a check box on the customers desired build sheet for each model year.

How did I get it on my '07? Was the Wood/Leather standard with the luxury pack?

Yes, the wood and leather wheel (beautiful!) came with the "all leather" option for the 2007 cars (the "Luxury" option). I have this (heated, too) and I love it.

I have only seen the wood steering wheel on 2007's. I like it a lot.
