Jaguar XK + Bovee 1000 + Android
I know there are some other posts discussing the Bovee 1000 (I guess it used to be called Viseeo Tune2Air WMA1000). Most of those who use this device seem to have iPhones. There doesn't seem to be too much reference to Android phones. I would be interested in hearing from those of you who use this device with an Android phone. I have a Moto Z, but the model shouldn't really matter for a general Android discussion.
I just purchased a Bovee 1000 from Amazon. I spent about 5 minutes playing with it in my car. Any insights? Problems? Solutions? I got my paired easily and the music played, so I was happy. I did notice that it took several attempts to get it off of pause, but then it mysteriously started to play.

I'm guessing, and only guessing, that the delay may be from the music player on the android and not the android device itself.
I have the Tune2air and have used it on my Android media box, lollipop, in the car to stream music using Google Play Music.
Also have used it with my phone Nexus 6P, oreo, to stream music using Musicolet.
Finally, I've used it with iPod Nano, iTunes.
The lag I experienced was when using Google Play Music, I've also noticed, once playing music, the pause/ play lags on occasion. I don't get that with Musicolet or iTunes.
I should note I only use the streaming music apps offline and load my own music so internet service in my case isn't a factor in the delay.

For searching and historical purposes - here was my result when buying a BOVEE 1000 for my 2013 XK-R. My Amazon Review is posted below. Thanks to this forum and Amazon reviewers for pointing me in the right direction. As mentioned, I read that the BOVEE is all that I would need on the forums, but obviously (now) you have to already have the cable. So maybe this will help someone else when they get a new (to them) XK-R.
I needed a solution for my 2013 Jaguar XK-R's outdated audio system. I use a Samsung Galazy S8.
The XK's are able to pipe in a bluetooth signal from your phone, but it is only good for calls.
Buy this device, plug it in (requires cable - see below for notes), pair your phone to Bovee1000 in your bluetooth setup, and away you go.
YOU CAN PAIR 2 DEVICES WITH YOUR PHONE - and you have to with this setup because it is taking the old iPod connection (used for music only) and using the BOVEE to talk to it from your phone for music only. So you still have to connect to your Jaguar for phone calls.
IT SWITCHES BETWEEN MUSIC AND PHONE SEAMLESSLY - As stated, I use a Samsung Galaxy S8 and it pauses music on Pandora, Google Play, or iHeart Radio while I'm in a call. It usually resumes music but occasionally my phone doesn't resume play so I have to manually tap the play button on the app I'm using.
IT DOES NOT PROVIDE SONG TITLES ON THE CAR DISPLAY - which is no biggie for me. I'm just happy to have music in my car coming from my phone and not on CD's.
YOU NEED A CABLE - When I bought the BOVEE 1000, I did so because a thread on the Jaguar forums stated that it was all I needed. WRONG! If you have a Jaguar with the iPod interface, you'll need a cable that runs from the Jaguar socket to your BOVEE 1000. Apparently Jag sent this with the car, but the previous owner of my car had lost the cable. I bought the Skywin iPod Interface Cable here: It works perfectly and crams into the console.
CONS:
Only the price of the device. I feel like this should be $50. But since it works 100%, I feel it is worth it.

I have the BoVee device and an Android phone which I used mostly with Spotify. I didn't find it very reliable - I'd often have to unlock the phone, go to Spotify and hit Play and sometimes it would pause itself again after a few seconds, sometimes more than once. Very annoying when I'd just driven off. Volume control was also a PITA as the phone volume also affects the relative volume through the car stereo.
I ended up giving up and buying an iPod Touch to use in the car; this has the added benefit of holding all my music (I used iTunes and used to use an iPod Nano in the car) but I can also download stuff on Spotify for offline playback. Apart from some Spotify bugs this seems to be working well but that may not be a solution if you really don't want an iOS device.
I now use the BoVee gadget on an old Bose SoundDock iPod speaker so I can stream to that from my phone in the house as the inconveniences with the BoVee are less of a factor indoors than they are in the car.

2013 XKRS
Got the BOVEEE, my Samsung S21 BT connects to the car for calls and it does the same for audio. I don't see or hear anything playing when USB is selected.
why cant we just take the USB C on the android and plug it into the USB port in the car...? It all appears so simple on the surface.

I just bought a 2011 and was disappointed by the lack of BT audio. Then I remembered that the car was 12 years old... built long before AndroidAuto was a thing. The BoVee fixed me up with my Pixel6Pro.
Plug the BoVee into the cable thingy. That plugs into the iPod connector under the armrest.
Set the radio in the car to use the iPod audio.
Pair your phone to the BoVee. Wait. Don't leave that screen on your phone, yet. Tell your phone to NOT send calls to the BoVee. You want those going to the car's radio (or to nothing else). Many have reported their audio pausing every 10 seconds, or so, if they don't do this. Avoid it by making this setting change right off the bat.
Enjoy! This should get you going

I also wanted to add streaming music via bluetooth to my 2010 XKR (from Galaxy S23 Ultra), so I purchased this Bovee 1000 Bundle (includes the integration cable) from Amazon.
Works great. I set it up so that it picks up where it left off whenever I start up the car again, and it does as advertised 99% of the time.
As other folks have mentioned, you cannot see the song details on the touchscreen (song name, artist, etc.), But it totally beats swapping out CDs every few drives or dealing with copying mp3s. I have streamed audio from YouTube Music, Pandora, Amazon Music and iHeart Radio, all with no other issues.
