Default Jaguar XK service, what should I check?

Hi! I'm resting my XK 07 coupe for the winter season here in Finland. I'm planning to take the car to service when snow melts. I'm won't take it to a Jaguar dealer as they are really unprofessional here.
I had the car serviced last winter and it has now done 10 000kms since, alltogether 50 000 km.

Are there some specific thing I should check or change. Planning to do some road trips next summer

Thanks for your time! best rgs

If you are not the original owner and don't have all the service records and plan to keep your XK, because it is over 12 years old I recommend the following be done by a qualified Jaguar technician:
  • Check for stored OBD fault codes
  • Change all fluids and filters
  • Comprehensive multipoint inspection of
    1. all drivetrain components for wear and leaks
    2. all visible rubber parts - tires, hoses, suspension bushings and boots, weatherstripping, etc. - for dry rot, cracking and splitting
    3. battery and charging system load test for proper operation and clean battery terminals
    4. climate control system for cold AC
Although your XK is low mileage, time also takes its toll. Rubber parts dry out and fail due to age - very common with suspension bushings. Old tires with cracks in the sidewalls are unsafe and should be replaced even though there's a lot of tread left. Undercarriage corrosion happens. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean everything is OK, so have a knowledgeable and experienced pro give it a thorough inspection with a written report and estimate of repair costs.

Good list.

Pump tyres up (so they don't flat-spot) if you weren't aware of that.

Jaguar used to make the Maintenance Check Sheets widely available but it has become more difficult them to find since Europe moved to OSH (OnLine Service History).

Here is the check sheet for the XK 4.2 models:

On a Jaguar with indeterminate service history, I do the full list to catch anything previously missed and give a base line for future servicing.
