David, let's address your Phone issue. You have the first version of a bluetooth phone module for our model cars. VIN to B07046: used C2P11342 (6W83-10D893-AE).

What is your phone make and model. There are a few things to do.
Go into your screen menu, delete any phones you see on screen, all of them. Next, delete the car from your phone.
Go into your systems menu on your cars touchscreen and set your "time out" for longer than a minute. Set for as long as it will go. This gives your phone plenty of time to find and pair (and load directory?).
Now select discover on your Jaguar and your phone and try to pair again.

If that doesn't work, since we don't know where your car came from and if it was Europe, you'll need your radio code because you'll want to do a hard reset.
Once you have a code (US models don't need them but I think all other markets do.)

To do a hard reset, disconnect the battery cables, (Negative first, then Positive) from the battery and hold the cables together for a few minutes. Just hold the cables together and don't touch them to the battery. Now reconnect them (Positive first, then Negative). You might have to reset you windows, mirrors, seats, radio stations and as mentioned, possibly enter a radio code.

If none of that works, The BT modules from 07 - 09 (US) are interchangeable and you want to find 9W83-10D893-AA which goes to the end of 2009 (US). If you can't find one ,try 6W83-10D893-AGTo VIN ending
B07046: C2P11342 (6W83-10D893-AE)

B07047 to B15111: C2P12058 (6W83-10D893-AF)

B15112 to B27986: C2P14821 (6W83-10D893-AG)

B27987 to B32752: C2P17620 (9W83-10D893-AA)

I don't think that is a thing anymore. The last Jag I recall having to put a code in to after disconnecting the battery was my X350.

There is no radio code in an X150.

There is no difference between phone modules for different markets, they are all the same, Bluetooth is Bluetooth.

The phone modules in these early cars are starting to crap out, age is catching up with them.

A 2nd hand replacement module from a 2010-onward would be the best & easiest fix, one of the ones with p/n 9W83

There was someone on one of the forums who managed to repair a module, from memory some capacitors had dried out, or something like that. I don't recall exactly who or how...

the Bluetooth modules are interchangeable so no worries of compatibility or fitment.

I bought it from a man who had it on the canopy of his house, it is of American origin and he was going to move. There are opportunities in life that should not be missed, this was one of them with this gem. like you said is a unicorn. It Really IS.

OK how about a pic of your screen so we can see what's going on please? When a phone with a line shows up on my screen it just means my phone hasn't connected.
Let us know what your time out is set to on your screen
What kind of phone you have

Or you can just pick one of the BT modules I linked to and try that certainly. Your call.

Follow @Cambo ‘s lead. I replaced the module last year as it started getting finicky. No problems since.
