Key fob not working
Hi. I am new here. Have read some things that helped me before- thanks!
My key fob on my keyless start 2007 XK convertible stopped working. For a few weeks it was having trouble being recognized by the car. I took the car into Chantilly Jaguar and had them check it out. They told me the problem could not be found- it worked fine.
When I went to pick my car up last night at Dulles Airport the key would not unlock the car. After a long time- guess I am not very mechanical- I was able to get the cover open to use the key in the door. The car would not start remotely but only with the key fob in the slot in the console.
I spoke to the dealership again today. They told me it shouldn't be the battery- which I had asked them to change before but they didn't- but had to be something else and to "just bring the car by". It is a hassle to get by there- northern Virginia traffic is the pits. Does anyone here have experience with a similar problem?
Thanks so much for your assistance.
Dave
