Default Leather repair dye/paint 2007XK Camel

Has anyone used a leather dye, paint or re-coloring balm to touch up worn areas on the XK's seats? My 2007 XK has the camel interior and the piping trim to the side bolster of the drivers seat has some worn areas. It would appear the color has worn away to reveal an almost white bare leather.

My research reveals that there are plenty of kits available but wondered if anyone had tackled this sort of task and any recommended products.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Check your color code on the driver's door frame factory info plaque. Is it 'SEP'? If so, that is Caramel, not Camel.

I had some trouble finding it a few months ago, but Dynamix dyes in the UK made it up for me and now have it set up in their system.

The colour is Caramel, as stated, and Color Plus (they have a website) has a product called SURFLEX which is the same sort of colour coating that is on Jaguar leather. I have used it for years on concours restorations of many Jaguars. I cannot recommend this product enough. Contact them to see if they have Caramel already made up, otherwise they will make it up. Easy to use, water soluble, no odour and once done it makes the leather look new, not "coated".

Thanks sov211. I got the Dynamix dye based on WhiteXKR's advice. Fabulous customer support. Dye is a perfect match and a couple of dabs and the leather's back to perfect.
