They are totally different cars. There is almost no shared parts or technology between these two models.

Give up what? You got your dipstick ordeal straightened out, and some good advice for your exhaust, although in the wrong forum (just disregard the Fuse 19 and Active Exhaust stuff). Removing the resonators and installing an X pipe is still what you could do, more and better sound for cheap.
