Default Mesh or Honycomb

How about some opinions on mesh grills vs the honeycomb style. Also do you prefer chrome/silver or do you like black. Does it make a difference as to what year. What do you think.

As i replied to FrickenJag,
Mine was faded too when i got it, so a friend of mine air brushed mine and the two side grills with enamel chrome paint. Came out lovely with a nice bright finish, that stands out. I'm happy with it.
I considered changing to a different grill but then it wouldn't match the side grills so came up with the idea to airbrush. IMO looks as good as anything i could have replaced them with so why bother.

Black honeycomb for me (was actually a deciding factor in my car purchase).
When I test drove an identically colored 07 XKR that had a silver grill (not sure now if it was honeycomb or mesh), it just didn't do it for me. That Cheshire cat grin on its face, was just too much.
Now that I found some pictures of the mesh grill, it looks too much like a screen door, so I'd have to go with honeycomb over mesh.

Depends the color of the car. Chrome looked like sh** on my seafoam green XK and went with black. Mesh or honeycomb make little difference, as long as it's OEM.

I'm eventually going to get the top and bottom OEM chrome mesh for my silver kitty. IMO the combination gives it a classic look.
