Default Message centre has Retired
Hi all i have a 09 4.2 XK problem is the Battery went flat charged the battery and now the message centre doesn't light up bright any more was fine, anybody any ideas?

Does it not boot at all, or is it booted but dim?
A failing battery may not provide the voltage (not current) during starting for the nav center to boot properly. It's a pretty common issue.

Just Dim its the message centre in the centre of the dash clocks was working fine until the battery went flat

Search this forum there are others that have had this problem and if it fubar you can replace the message center from an XF or XK.

Define “charged the battery”. Stop wasting your time and “REPLACE the battery”.
