Default Meth / water injection

Has anyone else installed a meth system on the 4.2L supercharged engine on here? I have a kit arriving today and wondered if anyone had any idea of the best place to get a positive pressure take off for the pressure switch. I'm hoping there is a pipe I can easily tee into. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I seem to remember that at least one guy in here has a system installed. Danged if I can remember who it was, and if (s)he's still active in the forum.

There's a tube between RH charge cooler and SC outlet. This tube provides vacuum or pressure to a fuel pressure sensor. Install a T fitting in this tube and there you are.

What kit did you get? I've been considering doing water/meth for a few years now but never got to it.

I have a Snow kit fitted to mine. Nozzle installed on the right intake near the throttle body. Controller T’d off the pressure line on the supercharger.

So, a universal kit without Direct Port. The D-P kits are pricey and probably overkill.
Cool, man.

I fitted a methanol injection system to my 91 MX-5 (Miata to Americans) with a self fitted Eaton M45 (IIRC)

IMO there is no point unless you have an upper/lower pulley upgrade and a custom intercooler helps, after installing the meth system get a retune (a racing miata one in my case) as the intake temps will drop by a minimum of 35f and as much as 50f.

That said my advice comes from experience over 15yrs ago and may not be applicable now or to the XKR

It did a brilliant job of keeping my inlet and cylinders spotless too, but am not sure if that's why JH is considering installing one.

I see no reason that the one for the F-Type can't be installed in the XKR, since essentially the same engine and SC, paramount do one, but I am aware that it can be purchased cheaper elsewhere:

I have a snow system fitted to my 2005 XJR, along with other mods, however my main reason was to keep the inlet tract clean of carbon deposits which on the 4.2 SC car can block the SC coolers after 50-80k miles easily.

No tune however the cooling effect prevents at least some HP loss at higher revs under load.
