Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
I doubted Ceejay, and marginalized his claim.
Till it happened to me.
Posted an apology and pics. Wonder how many times people here unequivocally admit they were wrong?
I believe his real grievance is with the way he was not allowed to share his experience on their website. And for that reason he is allowed to raise the alarm.

Personally I've never seen anything where he wasn't allowed to share his poor experience or that anyone here ever doubted that it was a valid concern. Please anyone show me where that was the case. His opinion/experience is valid, even if it contradicts the vast majority of others, stuff like that happens - that doesn't make his voice less valid but he also should recognize that as it seems he believes that ALL Michelins are defective in nature and those who believe differently are simply fools. My contention is two-fold in that he constantly goes to extremely emotional outbursts making such ridiculously and obvious inflammatory verbiage as "if you want to die" and other silly similar emotionally-charged words and also when he made claims that Michelin outright lied, not that Tirerack excluded his negative review, but he stated that Michelin actually have lied but when asked to provide any source to back up his statement his only retort was "I'm out of here". Such statements are easily slanderous, those weren't opinions but rather stated as fact. I've had horrible experience with BF Goodrich years ago would I ever purchase anything from them again, nope. I lived and learned but wasn't the one ringing the bell every time someone mentions them, have never made claims that they'll KILL you or IF YOU WANT TO DIE.
Hopefully Firecat will continue to post up on his review of these new 4S as they are so new nobody has given any sort of feedback on longevity or wear.
I saw a recent apology on this forum like you did yours regarding a suspicious new member not actually having a XKR-s. I apologized to you publicly a bit ago regarding oil and the 5.0 engine direct injection info.

Leeper I apologize. I wasnt referring to you as one who owes any apology to anyone.
I feel this will help in general and it is aimed at no individual, rather human nature.
90% of the decisions we humans make are emotional and seldom clinical.
The decision to purchase a sports car that empties your wallet, twice as likely to kill you and only sits half as many passengers is an emotional purchase.
Emotional intelligence is about understanding the emotion on the other side- and yielding to it if it doesnt cost you anything. If a guy spends too much or overly pampers his car, let him enjoy his luxury.
Are we being emotionally circumspect by telling a moonstruck mind that Santa does not exists. Especially if you dont celebrate Christmas in your faith or are past the age to enjoy it. Some would argue that the child who believes in santa is getting more out of life than you are.
Nothing I wrote above was actually about the Michelin tire fiasco. It was in general. However, I will say that I totally understand CeeJay's emotion, having experienced it partly myself. Yes I know, now that it applies to me I see the light, how selfish. I know.
The Michelin 4S is fantastic. I decided to go back with them as a result of them treating my case fairly and they are good tires. BTW, same thing happened to my friend with Pirelli's. My god what are we doing putting Italian and French tires on our cars- the Brits invented them.

Absolutely, which is why I asked Cee Jay several times to tell me what the DOT dates were. In certain climates, certain compounds and low use, tires can develop cracks or dry rot. It is wise to inspect your tires every month when checking air pressures. I'm on my 4th set of tires and not from mileage.
Just another read for folks from the inter web.

Sacrilege! You've dare install Michelins?!?!?! Don't you know that women and children might be in vehicles near you, that there's schools, and hospitals, and churches that you're selfishly putting at risk... oh the horror! Whatever you do DON'T let CeeJay know let's just keep this our little secret but if you do please let me know then I'll be stock in Lipator.
......... Contrary to your constant feeling of victimizaion CeeJay I have yet to hear anyone here, including myself EVER snicker at you or claim in any way that you didn't have a terrible experience... if I'm wrong please show me where I'm wrong..........
