Here’s where an how to change on XKR 150. After filling my tank, I got some missing at moderate speed. I didn’t check codes. Figured it might be bad gas. I put in fuel system cleaner, and treatment to allow water to breakdown. So far fine. But, for yucks I bought a new fuel filter. I’ll be doing that next week. Damn…it was $175 at the dealer.

Your 2014 doesn't HAVE a replaceable fuel filter. Yours is a mesh sock on the fuel tank feed on the primary fuel pump.

The fuel filter is built into the flange on top of the fuel tank
it's accessible from behind the rear passenger seat,
small access port, the flange won't fit through that port
I've replaced mine.

You're in California, where everything costs more.

I think my 2014 does not have a replaceable filter as stated above.
I just looked again and my car does not have that filter.

I'm reading this with interest. I am dumbfounded as to why the workshop manual has not been consulted.
I only have the Workshop Manual for the 2010 x150. But as some have mentioned it does not show a replaceable filter. It does show:
1. "Fuel Filter: Mounted internally in the fuel tank" And
2. "Mounting Flange incorporates filter bowl" And
3. "The bowl on the underside of the mounting flange contains a fuel filter element and incorporates the fuel inlet connector. The fuel filter element is non-serviceable and can only be replaced by replacing the mounting flange."

But again, this is the '10 version of the document. If it were the 2007 - 2009 4.2 l... that is an entirely different matter.
Is there a change post 2010, that I am not aware of?

If not the fuel filter, what else could it be? Could a dirty MAF be the cause? Are other sensors a possible cause?

Are the low pressure and high pressure values “up to spec”? Is there air seeping in? Or a leak? Or an injector not behaving?

All new plugs and all new injectors
new high pressure fuel pumps
high pressure fuel at spec 1452 psi
only happens at high speeds
misfire on all injectors at high speed or high fuel demand

New alternators can be bad, I went through similar issue,
it was the fuel filter in my case.

It maybe time to check connections, clean or change the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Codes P0337 or P034*.

The fuel filter and it's replacement is kind of a mystery if you read the Jaguar documents. As posted above first they tell you it does not need changing as it's a "lifetime" filter! Well we all know that Jaguars definition of lifetime is different from us car owners! Plus I have NEVER heard of any filter being lifetime and am puzzled about how it even could be?

So here is what I have found so far.

Here is Jaguar statement from the workshop manual.

I spent some time and did find a part number for the filter but I have a 2014 XJR so check the number before ordering the filter. I suspect that this is used across the entire Jaguar lineup.

Here is the entire fuel pump/filter assembly. The standard filter sock is visible on the left as always.

I have the filter on my bench and don't know if I will change it out or not right now as I am at about 60K miles.

Anyone change theirs?

I am starting to believe your problem are your spark plugs. Heat range 7 , Iridium tipped, but there is some talk of changing gap. Are yours OEMs?

I used the same NGK plugs that were previously used in the car

NGK had been modifying their plugs a little due to misfires.
This info may make some sense.

Overall, do you have 6C10s or 7C10s?
Try lowering the gaps a little.
