Default MPG has increased, strange.

My 07 xkr always ran between 18.5 and 19.5 mpg, but recently in the last few weeks it went up to 20.5 mpg but when i went through the mpg menu today it was 22.5mpg, any clues anyone.

On board mileage computers are not known for their accuracy or consistency.

Mine changed because I was running a traffic free route/schedule for awhile. Having trips of 30MPH+ instead of the 25MPG I normally get was edging my average up.

Thanks guys, haven't done any real long mileage drives all urban driving really. My car has been remapped and maybe it is to do with summer weather conditions, i buy my fuel from the same garage each time.

Good jump there. I have my remap done for just over a year now, mpg did go up to 22 mpg after i had it done but went down to 18.5/19.5 steady so just wondering why it went up again.

Any change to your style of driving or recent exhaust mods?

No, driving style hasn't changed and the aftermarket exhaust was on the car when i got it, so nothing else done.

It could be due to warmer weather so quicker to heat up so less choke used
