My New 11' XKR - Your Input Please!

Well that's not encouraging to hear at all about the Caramel interior! I was hoping the pale caramel would appeal in person like the pale tan's on Ferarri's. You still notice and pick up the stitching etc.
The interior does still feel every bit as high quality in the caramel doesn't it? Or does it loose some and feel more - dare I say... cheap?

The original dealership of my CPO car took delivery in late '06 and the car wasn't sold and registered until mid '07. I assumed the warranty was valid until mid '13. Wrong. Apparently the dealership had put the car "in service" (as reported to Jaguar) for their own use and that's when the warranty period started.
Even though #1 has only 1K on it, you may want to check with the dealership to ensure that it has not been reported as in service to Jaguar.
When my wife first saw the interior she thought it looked the color of Gulden's mustard and wasn't all that thrilled with it. I like black on "tan" and was/am very happy with it. She has come to actually like the color.
Best of luck with your decision. They both look sweet.

I love my caramel interior. My kids are in and out of it all the time -- it cleans up nicely. Light interiors do tend to reflect a bit in bright sunlight on the windshield, but it's nice to be able to see the interior and enjoy it. The little details get lost when everything is in black. ;D

I'd go for #2 but only if I couod get a much better deal. it sounds like you're being ripped off. You need to work the price on #2 down by A LOT.
The black pack is a $6.5k option. It should only add like $2-3k at most to the value of a used car.
7K more miles + the fact its already owned/used should make the price way way less than the other car, not more. Black pack or not.

So my unofficial poll so far has netted
Car 1 Score 8
Car 2 Score 2
I was already leaning this way. I'm doing the deal remotely and will fly in to Dallas Weds to pick it up. Had them throw in a clear bra.
Looking forward to it. What is the best set of lower springs and exhaust? Also I noticed aftermarket wheels are very hard to find. Have you guys done any group buys or do you know any good sources?

I have an '08 black with tan interior which I prefer over the black interior especially here in Houston. My wifes Acadia is black with black interior and even with her AC seats it is still much hotter to sit in than mine. I honestly never sweat in my seats like I do in hers. As for the reflection, I have never noticed it but I'm sure you do get some reflection.
I vote for #1 as well but I am admittedly biased

When I go to Cars.com and select new XK series Jaguars I see an initial list of 474 cars. Naturally most of them are 2012's. There are 86 from 2011. Of those 33 are coupes. When I select only the XKR I'm left with nine cars.
Three of them are in the price range you suggest, around $102,000. The remaining six are in the $82 -87,000 range. Four of those 6 are black. Three have charcoal interiors.
On the other hand if I search for used 2011 XKR's with less than 10,000 miles, I get 14 vehicles with a price range of $75 - 90,000.

Picked her up Weds. What a car. I have actually grown to prefer the caramel interior. The contrast stitching really showcases the quality of the leather. Also, I left the car in the sun today and when I got back in it wasn't nearly as hot as a black interior.
Now I just need to order some springs and an exhaust that doesn't drone!
