Default My XKR replacement

Well guys, I've done it now, maybe should' post this on here but you have all been great during my ownership on the XKR so seemed right to say bye (at least for now)!

Yes, many of you won't agree with my choice especially after a lovely sounding proper engine but after nearly buying a 991 3.8s Carrera, I've bought a BMW i8. Lots of head and heart decisions!

Yes I know all about the enhanced sound and a love or hate marmite thing, futuristic styling etc etc but I absolutely love it! I've gone from two cars to this one and I can't believe how it actually does everything I want it to for what mood I'm it. Sceptics will say it isn't a true supercar, maybe not as no V12 engine but it is to me and feels very special. Remember the first time you drove your XK?

Time will tell but I do appreciate the 'trying to create something' different that BMW have done here. The carbon fibre lightweight shell, aluminium chassis and quality of finish has to be applauded in my view.

F type would have been nice but lacking additional seats unfortunately!

keep the Jaguar flag flying guys!

Cheers

If some of the rumours are right, you may have bought the next car Jaguar will be coming out with. Or at least its predecessor.

Hey, as long as you're happy, that's the major thing, right? They are sharp looking.
The only thing is that it's still a BMW. Course that's what people still say about Jags...... they improved vastly but nobody knows that.
I hope your i8 turns out to be one of the better bimmers.

Yes all manufacturers are going down this road, case of having to I guess. I don’t like the look of Tesla but hybrids do have but if both and tons or torque

It does seem they put a lot of effort into this. Should have for that new price tag! I’ve had a z4 (not great), 3 series M sport coupe (liked it) and most recently 4 series M sport coupe (lots of rattles). No such rattles in the i8 though 😀

You're gonna need a bigger CTEK!!

Nice. Not a BMW fan for the most part but I do like the look of the i8. Enjoy!
