My Nav system sent me to the wrong address a few times. It doesn't even have the state of Fl to choose. I dont have the disc to reboot it, I can always use the phone app. What gives?

What year is your car and are you using the East disc in the Nav unit?Originally Posted by Fastlane'scat

The East version covers Florida.
Eject the disc from the unit in the trunk to check. Once you re-insert the disc it should reboot the system which takes about 10-15 minutes.

I'm not too impressed with Jaguar SatNav. High on cost and low on function.
I updated the disc set for mine and the update came as 4 DVD's covering Europe.
When we went over to France for Christmas, I ended up using my Indago SatNav / Speed Camera detector in preference because the whole of Europe is stored on one SD card, it's quicker and clearer than the Jaguar system and it helps keep my licence clean.
I'll not be buying another Jaguar disc update.

I much prefer to use Google Nav. for my navigational needs. My XJL had sent me around the world in order to get to an address next door. Also it suggested that I turn onto deserted forest roads when Google suggested staying on the main highway. Then, approaching my final destination at a fairly remote part of N. CA, the Jag nav. told me that I had arrived to my destination; in the middle of a forest wilderness, with no real destination anywhere in view. Google told me to proceed an other mile through the forest and made me actually turn onto the driveway of my target destination. Wish Jaguar would just use Google nav.

I've been lost several times in the XK with its Nav.
I actually thought the Nav was better on my Vanden Plas than this XK. The XK gives too much info when all I want to know is when to turn.
Best NAV's I have used are from the rental car companies

Wow... Now that is a shocker... My 06 Lexus had a great nav system in it with full voice command.... I dont know the year of your Lex. but mine was an easy 5 year leap ahead of anything Jag put in the XK.Originally Posted by ndy.boyd
I prefer the Jag nav over that in my Lexus and I haven't even used the former yet.
Even with my 2010 update, the Jag system one of the worst i have used.
