I replaced the roof on my Jaguar this winter with a less worn one. I reconnected all the hydraulics and the sequence works, but when it gets to the lowering stage, the cover won't close because of the safety clips! The cover hits the safety clips. The safety clips close before the roof reaches the bottom. I have the impression that the roof should go down a little further, but it's already positioned on the support brackets. I have photos and a video... I've read several posts on the subject but I'm starting to run out of ideas... Thank you for your help.
If you replaced the entire top, not just the fabric, there are quite a number of mechanical settings required. Please review them in the service manual:
