My convertible roof motor for latching the roof has gone bad, it make a grinding noise when I try to open the roof. The manual roof latch key Alan wrench when I turn it just slips on the gears. In order to replace the roof latching motor I have to get the roof open to do that.
When I talked the dealership they said there is a manual way of unlocking the roof latches. However none of the owners or service manuals say anything about this.
Does any one out there know how to do this so I can get the roof unlatched manually.
Please help I'm desperate....
